To what extent do you enjoy or despise Valentine’s Day? People have strong views regarding it. I have been posting about Valentine’s Day on my Facebook page, and it is amusing to observe how people respond to these posts. Some people are not particularly fond of this Day, and they make it a point to comment on my posts about it. It is rather funny.

Valentine’s Day might feel like an overly commercial holiday, but it’s also an excellent opportunity to create unique and enjoyable things. Take cupcakes as an example with this. Do you agree that everyone adores them? Simply baking them is a breeze, and decorating them is fun. I have many adorable suggestions that anyone can try, regardless of how skilled they are in baking or how busy they are. Decorating cupcakes with cinnamon hearts in the shape of Xs and Os is simple and looks fantastic.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup 1 all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 sugar

  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cocoa powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon 1/2 baking soda

  • 1/4 teaspoon 1/4 salt

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 applesauce

  • 1/4 cup 1/4 vegetable oil

  • 1 teaspoon 1 vanilla extract

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 water

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line cupcake tin with liners.
  • In a bowl, whisk flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, and salt.
  • Add applesauce, oil, vanilla, and water. Mix until smooth.
  • Fill cupcake liners 2/3 full. Bake for 18-20 mins.
  • Cool before decorating.

Notes

  • Feel free to experiment with frosting colors and sprinkles for a personalized touch.
